A fuller and spicier style of New Zealand Pinot Noir.

The grapes are selected from the inland, elevated Matapiro region and matured in French Oak Barriques. Elegant, juicy and vibrant best sums up this Marlborough Pinot Noir. Hãhã means savoury and luscious in Maori .

Grapes from the Wairau and Awatere Valleys are cold soaked prior to temperature controlled fermentation in a mixture of steel tanks and oak barrels. There is minimal intervention and fining and the juice is matured on oak for 8 months prior to bottling.

The palate is juicy and full-bodied, delivering succulent fruit flavours together with a subtle spicy complexity, finishing long and smooth.

Winemaking & Viticulture:

Grapes were harvested from vineyards in the Wairau Valley and Awatere Valley in Marlborough, New Zealand.

We were incredibly lucky to be able to create this wine in 2020, with the country in a nationwide lockdown during the harvest period due to COVID-19. Fortunately after near perfect weather, harvest was a real pleasure and our 2020 wines carry some very unique memories.

The juice was cold soaked prior to temperature controlled fermentation, in a mixture of stainless steel tanks and oak barrels. With minimal intervention and fining, this wine was matured on oak for 8 months prior to filtering and bottling.
