HaHa Pinot Gris | Marlborough, New Zealand
The grapes were sourced from a number of vineyard sites in Hawke’s Bay. After a slow, temperature-controlled fermentation a small portion of the final blend went through malolactic fermentation to create a softer richer style of Pinot Gris. Following blending, the wine was bottled young to capture the aromatic characters and freshness.
The vintage provided the warmest weather on record in New Zealand. This along with favourable rain post flowering set up a fantastic fruit crop – an early and compact harvest produced fabulous wines that rival the last two years vintages with well-balanced flavour and acidity.
